Sun&Blue Congress, international congress of Blue Tourism and Blue Economy, is celebrating its second edition from 20th to 22nd November in Almeria. It will bring together Olivia Mandle, environmental and animal rights activist and ambassador of the European Climate Pact, and Nacho Dean, naturalist, professional explorer, divulgator and the first person in history to walk around the world and swim across five continents, as well as ambassador of this edition.
They will share the stage on Thursday 21st November, with the main presentation entitled ‘Voices of the Ocean: An Intergenerational Dialogue on Coastal Sustainability’, which will take place at 12:30 pm in the main conference auditorium. The talk will be moderated by Jessica Newfield, senior consultant at the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), a non-profit organisation that aims to rally young people and offer solutions to restore the oceans health.
This dialogue between two iconic and complementary figures – Olivia Mandle, a high-impact youth activist, and Nacho Dean, author of several groundbreaking books, documentaries and expeditions – will provide a unique opportunity to inspire and rally audiences towards climate action and marine conservation. Both have used their own paths and experiences to demonstrate how activism and adventure can converge into a powerful message of sustainability.
