By 29 Outubro, 2018 No Comments

The 2nd Plenary Meeting of the BLUEHUMAN Project funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area Program was held in Brest las 11th and 12th of October.  The Institut Universitaire Européen de la Mer (IUEM) de la Université de Bretagne Occidentale hosted the representatives from the different partners in a meeting where they made a review of the results obtained up to date and they analyzed practical questions of importance for the activities to develop in the coming months.

In a multidisciplinary project with so many research groups and companies from different countries such as BLUEHUMAN these meetings are a priceless chance for the whole partnership to obtain an overall vision of the progress achieved and the work to be done. Moreover, the combination of researchers from different disciplines sharing experience and knowledge creates a synergy and allows a common perspective to tackle the development of the actions from every work package.

The BLUEHUMAN Project, leaded by the 3B’s Research Group from The University of Minho,  intends to promote the valorization of marine resources and fisheries by-products, through biotechnology, developing novel products with a high added value to apply in the biomedical, health/wellbeing and cosmetics sectors. The partnership is made up by research groups and companies from France, Portugal, Spain, Ireland and UK.

The website of the project offers  further information about the research lines under development and details about all the BLUEHUMAN partners. In addition, it has a direct link to the newsletter of the project which collects both the project news and other significant news regarding the marine products valorization.

Additionally, in order to give visibility to the project, the hashtag #BLUEHUMAN is used in the Twitter accounts of the partners in charge of communication and capitalization (https://twitter.com/productosmar and  https://twitter.com/GNPAECT).
